Logan | Fresh 48 Sacred Heart

We can all learn something from Logan’s well-coordinated Fresh 48 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola. Her mama, Morgan did SUCH a beautiful job selecting warm and colorful items to bring her own aesthetic and personality to the session.

Everything was so well coordinated and you can see how she pulled colors for their outfits from the ‘L is for Logan’ needlepoint she made.

I love that, with all of the colors going on in the kids outfits and the rest of the room, she chose neutrals for herself and Nick. Her black robe and his grey shirt make sure that mom and dad both make a great backdrop and stand out, all without competing with the patterns of the quilt, needlepoint, and swaddle blanket.

And can we just talk about the quilt!?! Bringing a quilt to add texture and personality to the hospital bed is honestly the best idea anyone has ever had for a Fresh 48. Can everyone from here on out please bring a quilt to the hospital?

Because hospital rooms are small, I typically ask that no one else visit during a Fresh 48 session. The exception to this rule is helpful grandmothers. Morgan’s mom was such an enormous help. She jumped right in and dressed the kids, wrangled the toddler, and took turns walking the halls with him so we could have a few calm moments to focus on the baby.

Laid out over the end of the bed, it made the perfect background for a few more ‘newborn session’ like shots with just Logan.
