New Orleans Wedding Rehearsal | New Orleans Pharmacy Museum

In April, my only sister got married and asked me to be her Maid of Honor. (Yes, MAID. So what if I'm married...I'm not labeling myself a 'matron'.)

Then, to my profound horror, she advised me that she did not want to hire a wedding photographer or spend any time posing for any pictures. That the candid shots everyone took on their phones would be sufficient. All I can say to that is: #$#%@&!@!*!!!!! ?????

The dreamer in me that wanted to try and pull double duty MOH/Photographer (triple duty if you count wrangling my kids...the ring bearer and flower girl). I mean, a bohemian New Orleans courtyard wedding? Exclusively documentary style? Hello dream! But the realist in me knew I would never be able to divide my attention so many ways. Ultimately, I convinced her to hire the best wedding photographer I know, Melissa Wilson, and contented myself with covering the rest of the weekend.

Next up is the wildly fun rehearsal dinner at Napoleon House.
