Judah | Milton Newborn Photographer

Steven + Rosalind initially only booked me to capture Judah’s birth. (Their story is incredible and you can read it here.) A few days after delivering and seeing her sneak peaks, she called me to say how she wasn’t sure how we would make a newborn session in their home work, but she knew she would regret it if she didn’t have me come anyway.

Their dream house was in the process of bring constructed and in the meantime, they were living in a TINY cottage in between it and Steven’s parent’s house. It was actually the house his parent lived in while they saved to build their dream home next door. Rosalind might have been skeptical that we would get anything good in a space she didn’t find aesthetically pleasing, but I already knew it would be amazing because of ALL of that history!

I really loved that we were able to take a few minutes in the new house to capture the progress. This was a year of monumental victory…a miracle baby after a loss that caused infertility, a new home after years of saving every penny…a year of dreams coming true.

I think it is a great reminder that our lives are beautiful and moments worth treasuring, even in the midst of what feels like a chaotic mess. Stop thinking about it and just schedule the session. Stop waiting for things to be perfect before you have your family documented.
