Since I have Hazel’s 1-year session this weekend, I thought it might be appropriate to finally get her in-home newborn session in Niceville up for the world. We had the sweetest morning chatting and lounging at home, soaking up all of the sweet newborn goodness.

Hazel’s session is another great example of a session with an older newborn. A myriad of breastfeeding issues plagued Kelly (you can read more about that here), Hazel was approximately six weeks old before Kelly felt ready for a newborn session. Postpartum can be a tough time for new mothers and there is absolutely no reason to feel like you’ve waited too long to have newborn pictures taken. The most important thing is that you are able to enjoy your session and not feel stressed out over your health or your baby’s.

It’s never too late.

Honestly, I have to say that I love these four-six week newborn session the most. Babies are generally able to go longer between feedings and they have the sweetest facial expressions. If it were up to me, everyone would have a birth/fresh 48 session and then a newborn session after the first month.

Are you down with that plan? Tell me below!
