Vivid Color | Pensacola Artist Spotlight
I feel incredibly lucky to know some of the most talented people in my city. I'm even luckier that they consider me talented enough to photograph their work. Last year Pensacola artist, Rebecca Taylor and her sweetheart Keith Landgraff opened the hottest salon in town, Vivid. Artistic Hair Design. And when I saw the incredible hair masterpieces they were turning out, of course I wanted to photograph them…like ALL of them. If I could just live there with my camera and shoot all of their daily masterpieces, I absolutely would! Rebecca and I collaborated and came up with the idea for a shoot to really highlight the bold and edgy vibe of the salon. We also enlisted the talents of local make-up artist Kat O'Connor of Kat O'Cosmetic Artistry, and fabulous floral artist Chloe Lawry of Supposey. I must also say a special thanks to my bestie and fellow photog Melissa Wilson of Melissa Wilson Photography for putting aside her camera for most of the shoot to be my assistant and safety net while scaling the steep incline of the overpass we shot under. Our gorgeous models here are Sidni Mickel (green and blue hair) and Tiffany Miller (pink and purple hair). They are total rockstars!
